Rebecca Foster studied at Birmingham Conservatoire, and graduated in 2000. During her studies she performed as chorus with Mid Wales Opera for three seasons and was a stand in as Second lady for The Magic Flute .She was a member of the National Youth choir in the Nineties, and was fortunate enough to take part in their Pacific tour.

After her graduation Rebecca moved to London and joined City Opera, where she performed roles such as Gretal Handsel and Gretal and Musetta La Bohéme, and also obtained a place on The Knack, in 2002/3, an ENO Baylis course, ran by Mary King.

In 2003, towards the end of the course Rebecca decided to start a

Ten years later Rebecca joined Kentish Opera as chorus in The Bartered Bride, and in the following year performed the role of Olga in the Merry Widow, she has also covered the role of Dama in Verdi's Macbeth, as well as Flora in la Traviata: she was also Bacchis in their recent concert production of La belle Hellene.

Rebecca has also played the wife of Ceprano for Matchbox opera's production of Rigoletto as well as Micheala in their production of Carmen.

Rebecca is also a member of Midsummer opera, and last year covered the role of Nora for their production of, Riders to the Sea, and for their March production of Luisa Miller she is covering the role of Laura.
