- Aaron McAuley
Aaron gained a B. Mus.
(Hons) at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. After
completing a Postgraduate Diploma at the Royal College of Music,
he graduated with an Artist Diploma (Distinction) in Opera from
the Benjamin Britten International Opera School under the direction
of Tim Evans Jones.
His solo career has taken him around the UK performing such works
as the Brahms' Requiem; Israel in Egypt and Messiah and Vaughan
Williams' Serenade to music. He has toured the Scottish Isles
performing for Herriot Watt University. He has also performed
the lead in a dramatisation of the Der Schulmeister by Telemann
with members of the BBC Symphony Orchestra. In October 2009,
Aaron made his Royal Albert Hall debut, performing the role of
Tiger in the premier of Peter Rose's and Ann Conlon's new work
One Sun, One World. Since 2010 Aaron has been a member of the
Glyndebourne Festival Chorus, performing in Macbeth and Billy
Budd, in which he also covered Second Mate. He performed in the
chorus of critically acclaimed Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg,
Don Giovanni, L'elisir d'amore, Rusalka, La Cenerentola, as well
as in Der Rosenkavalier and Eugene Onegin for Glyndebourne's
80th anniversary festival.
